I'm Barry Frame — a musician, sound designer, producer, college lecturer and author based in Central Scotland.

My journey began with a guitar at the age of five and has taken me from performing in pubs as a child to recording studios, film sound design, immersive audio and education. Along the way, I've worked with incredible people, earned a few qualifications and discovered that some of life's most interesting opportunities are the ones you never planned.

Today, I divide my time between teaching, performing, creating sound for film and immersive experiences, and sharing more than 30 years of musical knowledge through my first book, The Why Behind the Strings.

It's been quite a journey — and there's still plenty more to come.
